Care for people with mental health issues rests on families

So many of the mental health disorders do not have ‘cures’ but require long term treatment. Some of the more long term disorders have community type care available when the individual needs more skilled care than most families can offer. But many mental health patients fall through the cracks leaving families with emotional and financial burdens. Look for support groups for families dealing with these difficult circumstances.
