Colon Carcinoma - A Dreaded Disease

Colon cancer is the third most common form of carcinoma. It is found in both, men and women. It is the third most common carcinoma. In case of women it is the second most common kind of cancer. It is also known as colon carcinoma. The total number of its cases each year amount to 6,000.

The cancer is not entirely non treatable. If there are no metastases in the tumor, then it can be surgically treated. Often, the surgery shows good results. However, for a patient who enters the stage three of this dreaded disease, adjuvant chemotherapy is recommended.
