The use of nonabrasive laser therapies in facial surgery
October 26th, 2008 | by admin |Nonabrasive laser therapies are notably safer; however, their ability to significantly improve photo-aged skin characteristics is still limited. Histopathology of lesional skin shows mild dermal lymphocytic infiltrate in the early stage, and decreased, fragmented elastic fibers in later stages, where the deposition of IgA in residual elastic fibers can be present, implying that an autoimmune mechanism may be involved. The skin is then separated from the underlying framework (the bone and cartilage) of the nose, and the framework is then sculpted to the desired shape and size.
