A Disease That Can Attack Other Parts Of The Body

July 8th, 2008 | by admin |

The cause of ulcerative colitis is sometimes attributed to a patient’s childhood exposures or infections. Ulcerative colitis is being listed as an auto-immune disease, which means that it can attack some parts of the body. In fact, this disease can affect many areas in the body that are outside the digestive system. Some doctors will remove the large intestine as an effective cure of this disease which can include the manifestations outside the digestive system. This removal can suggest that the disease comes from the colon itself and not from the immune system or some other parts of the body. A study also revealed that the cause of ulcerative colitis is the patient’s malfunction in his metabolism.
