Not everyone who seeks treatment at an eating disorder clinic needs the same type and level of intensity of services. Therefore, eating disorder clinics will conduct thorough assessments of the person before determining the proper treatment that is necessary. These treatment options may include inpatient or outpatient services. Patients may receive a combination of services from a registered dietician, medical doctor, psychologist and psychiatrist. Or, they may only receive nutritional counseling. This is all dependent on the intensity of their eating disorder illness.
