The Search for a Cure: Pancreatic Cancer

January 29th, 2009 | by admin |

Cancer is without a doubt one of the worst diseases known. It can come in a wide variety of types each with its own aggressiveness and life expectancy. There are many cancers, such as prostate and non-lymphoma Hodgkin’s disease, that if detected early, have a high rate (up to 90%) of cure. There are other forms of cancer (i.e., pancreatic and ovarian) however, where the life expectancy and cure rates are much lower. For example, the Pancreatic Cancer Life Expectancy is a short 3 to 6 months after diagnosis. Even with all the excellent strides being made in cancer research and treatment, there is still a lot of work left to be done.
