It wont cure the disease, maybe it will make you feel better, but it certainly wont cure it.

Maybe ease the symptoms but not ‘cure’

Meditation isn’t going to cure acute trauma, but it can be very beneficial to your health by curtailing stress related diseases.

I think it helps, but it shouldn’t completely replace medicine.

There is a greater chance of being cured for most ailments through meditation than there is through medicine, because the pharmaceutical industry is not in the business of curing people. They’re in the business of treating people and prolonging the amount of time a person lives with an illness and consumes their drugs. They’re really good at that. But not cures whatsoever. What was the last thing to be cured by medicine that didn’t require lifelong treatment?

No. I just think our society is one big hypochondriac that makes up illnesses in order to make up medications in order to make money.

Ancient shamans used to do that in the ancient days. They practiced some sort of spiritual alchemy.

      Not really

Reducing stress and exercising can help the body fight disease but it cant substitute modern medicine.

However, if you have nothing else left to try, why not try it?

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Except I prefer to call it prayer rather than meditation. I’m not saying that people with heart issues shouldn’t take their medicine, but when it comes to mental disorders, I definitely think that “depression” “bi-polar disorder” “obsessive compulsive disorder” etc. can be taken care of with prayer. Psychiatric medicine for things such as I listed should be banned. There’s not enough research on any of these things, and psychiatrists are way to eager to push pills rather than get to the core of the problem!

Well some diseases and problems within the body are caused by stress, which yoga and meditation release, and some problems or disorders happen just because the mind is overworked or scared of something, which meditating on or relaxing by practicing yoga can help

Yes very true, especially since over 90% of diseases are psychoso matic

In some cases, absolutely. e.g. One can use meditation and correct breathing to calm down from an anxious state.

However, for more serious diseases and complications such as heart attacks, AIDS, Brain diseases, oh and any orthopedic procedure among others, meditation and correct breathing may serve as to lesson the anxiety attached to any procedure.

Here are some articles about the benefit in practice of Falun Gong meditation.

Falun Gong was found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. About 100 million followers like the practice in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, and spirit based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises. Both books and meditation demonstration video are free to download from the URL listed below.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Daoists have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?

Some of the benefits of meditation are:-

Reduces anxiety attacks as it lowers the levels of blood lactate.

      Builds self confidence.

Increases serotonin which influences moods and behavior. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, headaches and insomnia.

      Enhances energy, strength and vigour.

      Helps keep blood pressure normal

      Reduces stress and tension

Creates a state of deep relaxation and general feeling of wellbeing

      Helps with P.M.T.

Increases concentration and strengthens the mind

      Helps reduce heart disease

      Helps with weight loss

If you practice regularly, the benefits of meditation will promote a sense of calm and control, you’ll feel far more relaxed and happy. Your ability to concentrate will be greater. You won’t become stressed about things and you’ll feel more peaceful and relaxed about everything. One of the greatest benefits of meditation is learning to go with the flow and things that used to irritate you before simply become insignificant.

      Hope this helps
