I wonder if using a cushion is so important for somebody practicing Zen Meditation?

Roland asked:

I am currently using a yoga mat and I sit on a block to practice my Zen meditation. I read that it will be more beneficial to buy a Cushion(Zabuton)
I wonder if that will make a big difference for me?

I would imagine that yoga would be uncomfortable to do on a wooden or tiled floor—–so I would recommend a mat—–though yoga is banned in Malaysia—–

Do whatever makes you comfortable. The zabutons are useful for those of us who aren’t as flexible as we used to be.
