Cold sores can be a real pain and a sore on the eyes too! But what is it that causes these terrible and painful sores near your mouth? The truth is that every cold sore is different because everyone is different so the important thing to do is to figure out what triggers the cold sores to break out.  Medical research shows that the main cause of cold sores is stress, illness, and sometimos injuries.

Often they are come out when you are suffering from a cold or the flu. Other external influences on cold sores can be the sun, as in when you get a sunburn you can also get cold sores. But if you have none of these, and have a lot of stress in your life then you need to look to eliminating that stress through exercise, yoga, or meditation, and that  will also help eliminate cold sores.
